Kazakhstan, who have continued to surprise everyone in this tournament after starting the Euros with a 5-2 loss, twice took the lead againt Azerbaijan in the semifinals but they couldn't again on against a fast improving opponent side that fully deserve to be in the final.

„It was a very tough and very beautiful game. There were three mistakes from the defence and Azerbaijan just scored three goals. So I want to say ,Good luck to Azerbaijan‘ and we are prepared for the third place match,“ said Kazakhstan coach Duman Manbay.

Bulgaria were the victims this time. They made it difficult for the Romanians but ultimately they fell short and couldn't quite make their first ever final. It was a penalty shoot-out what get Romanians to the next round again.

„After the match it was very difficult but I am proud of me and my team. We played against six times european champion which is very strong. We did our best but Romania also played very well. It was not easy. Now we are going to win the bronze medal!“ claimed Vasil Gudzhec, Bulgarian player.
