General informations

The total size of the field is 50 x 32m while the playing area is 47 meters long and 28 meters wide. The penalty area in front of the goals measures 7 x 14m. The dimensions of the goal are 4 x 2 meters.

A maximum of 15 players is allowed on the sheet of every team, usually 13 field players and 2 goalkeepers. Each team usually consists of two full-fledged 5-member formations.

The players must be male who have reached the age of 16 and has no running professional contract. Boys under the age of 16 can only play with the notarized consent of their parents.

Match

The match time is 25 minutes each half, while the half-time break lasts 5 minutes. It is played 6 a side with 5 field players and a goalkeeper on each side.

Slide tackles are forbidden in minifootball game. General sliding to control or stop the ball is permitted only if there is no opponent nearby.

The distance between the ball and the opponents at a free-kick has to be 5 meters.

Yellow and red cards

The player can receive a yellow card for unsporting behavior, reckless foul, disrespect, stoping a promising attack, holding, dissent with the referee, persistent infrigement of laws of the game, delaying of play, failure to respect the required distance, entering and leaving the pitch without permission, simulation, hand ball, wrong substitution and other reasons.

The red card is awarded for excessive reckless foul play, violent conduct, denying a goal by deliberately handling the ball, denying obvious goal-scoring opportunity, using offensive language or gestures and right after the second yellow card.

Red card results in the exclusion of the relevant player for the rest of the game and the team will be reduced to 5 players for 5 minutes. A player who receives a direct red card will be banned from playing at least one game.

For three (3) yellow cards, obtained successively, but in different games, immediately after receiving the third card, disqualification is imposed for the next game.

Two yellow cards received in two consecutive games automatically lead to a one-match suspension. After suspension, the yellow cards start to accumulate again.

Yellow cards get wiped after the semi-finals of the tournament. However not red cards.

EMF EURO 2022 game format

A total of 24 teams take part in the EMF EURO 2022 in Košice. Teams are divided into 6 groups of 4 teams. Every team will play 3 games in the group stage. The team gets 3 points for the victory, 1 point for the draw and 0 for the loss.

If two teams tied on points after the completion of the group stage, the following criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings: Higher number of points obtained in the direct match between the teams question (both teams). In cases the result from the penalty shoot- out is considered valid.

16 teams progress from the group stage into the next round of the competition "Last 16". They are the winner of each group, the runner-up from each group and 4 best 3rd place teams from the 6 group. Here you can see the knockout tree:
